The Herts Air Ambulance landed in the road – near to missile systems company MBDA – to assist, while a police spokeswoman confirmed they were called to the scene to help with a road closure at about 12.40pm.
An ambulance spokesman said that paramedics have been able to restart the woman’s heart and the air ambulance has since flown off.
