An air ambulance landed in Ridlins End playing field in Stevenage this afternoon after a man suffered a suspected stroke.
An ambulance service spokesman has confirmed that an ambulance crew, rapid response vehicle, ambulance officer and the Herts air ambulance all attended the scene to treat the man in Shephall Way just before 2.30pm.
The man, believed to be in his 40s, was taken to Lister Hospital by land ambulance in a serious condition.
