An air ambulance landed in Hitchin earlier today after paramedics were alerted to an incident of a man falling unconscious.
A rapid response vehicle, ambulance crew and ambulance officer went to treat the patient in Cambridge Road at about 11.20am.
The air ambulance landed in nearby Queenswood Drive, however the man – who is in his 30s – was taken to hospital by road.
An ambulance service spokesman said: “We were called at 11.20am today to Cambridge Road, Hitchin, to a report of a man in his 30s who was unconscious.
“They treated the man who was taken by land ambulance to Lister Hospital in a serious, but stable condition.”
