An elderly man has been hospitalised following a collision with another cyclist on Sunday.
The East of England Ambulance Service (EEAST) were alerted to Icknield Way, Baldock, at 10.35am to a report of cyclists in collision with each other. Ambulance crews from Royston and Stevenage attended the scene. Due to the nature of the call, the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) was dispatched to the scene.
EEAST spokesman Gary Sanderson, who attended the incident said: “The man who we believe to be in his 70s was treated, stabilised and immobilised by land and air ambulance crews before he was taken by land to hospital for further treatment. He sustained head and pelvic injuries.”
The Air Ambulance landed in a forecourt adjacent to the scene along Icknield Way.
