The air ambulance was called to Letchworth on Saturday after a man in his 50s stabbed himself.
Herts Air Ambulance landed in Broadway Gardens at around 5.50pm along with several police cars after a stabbing which took place in Eastcheap.
The man was taken to Lister Hospital in Stevenage to be treated for a small wound to his stomach.
