People attempting to reach Harwood Park Crematorium, on Watton Road in Stevenage, are having to turn around and travel through Knebworth in order to reach the centre.

The road has been temporarily closed by Hertfordshire County Council (HCC).

A spokesman for HCC said: “We appreciate such an inconvenience is the last thing people want to deal with when they are attending a funeral. Our highways service is doing its best to deal with flooding across the county and we hope to resolve this issue as soon as possible.”
