TRAFFIC is at a standstill northbound between junctions 9 and 10 of the A1(M) tonight (Tuesday) after the police closed one lane as part of a crash investigation.
Police are taking photographs at the scene of an incident which saw a pedestrian and a car in collision just before 7pm yesterday (Monday).
The pedestrian, a man, sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries.
The lane is expected to be closed until about 7pm.
