A crash on the A1(M) has led to the road being closed this afternoon (Friday).
Emergency services were called to the scene at 3.28pm. The collision occurred between a car and a motorcycle has led to both lanes being closed northbound between J6-7.
The motorcyclist has been injured but details of how severely have not yet been released. Police are currently still at the scene.
UPDATE: All vehicles involced have now been moved to the hard shoulder and the carriageway has reopened. Road police have said there are likely to be delays. The male motorcyclist, believed to be in his mid twenties, has been taken to Lister Hospital with chest injuries.
