The A1(M) was shut today after a van hit a bridge and ended up on its side.
Police were called just before 8am after reports that a van had hit a bridge on the southbound carriageway near to Junction 6 for Welwyn.
Nobody was injured in the crash, but all three southbound lanes of the motorway were closed due to debris and oil at the scene.
There are still 30 minute delays on the A1(M) back to Junction 8 for Stevenage, with Highways England closing one lane overnight while resurfacing work takes place.
