A1(M) shut after women hospitalised in two-car crash

TWO women were taken to hospital and the A1(M) shut after a crash this morning (Friday).
Emergency services were called at about 10.25am following reports of a two-car collision on the northbound stretch of the motorway just after junction 6 for Welwyn.
The northbound carriageway was shut from junction 6 to junction 7 for Stevenage while a blue Toyota Aygo and a red Nissan Qashqai were removed from the motorway.
The A1(M) fully reopened just before 11.40am and two women have been taken to Lister Hospital in Stevenage with minor injuries.
