The A1(M) was shut this morning (Thursday) following two crashes.
Emergency services were first called at about 8.20am to junction 6 of the motorway when an artic lorry and a box van collided on the northbound carriageway.
The carriageway was initially shut but has now reopened.
Just after 9am another accident occured on the southbound carriageway, after a car left the road between junction 9 for Letchworth Gate and junction 8 for Stevenage.
No one required hospital treatment.
