The A1(M) northbound carriageway between Welwyn and Stevenage has reopened following an earlier crash in which a car overturned.
Highways England stated earlier this morning: “The A1(M) in Hertfordshire is closed northbound between Junction 6 and Junction 7 near Welwyn to allow for the recovery of a vehicle from an earlier collision.
“Crews at scene working to recover the vehicle, traffic is being diverted via local routes.
“Road users are advised to allow additional time for their journey and consider alternative routes for their journeys.”
Highways England since confirmed that the carriageway has reopened and delays have been cleared.
