The A1(M) Hatfield Tunnel has reopened following this afternoon’s closure.

The northbound carriageway of the motorway was shut this afternoon (Friday) near The Galleria shopping centre.

The Highways Agency is now reporting all lanes between Junctions 3 and 4 are open.

The agency’s Twitter feed @HAtraffic_east tweeted: “All lanes are now open on #A1M #Hertfordshire northbound btwn J3 and J4 #Hatfield Tunnel following an earlier incident. Delays are clearing.”

Herts Highways’ Twitter feed is also reporting the earlier delays on the A414 North Orbital Road between the London Colney roundabout and the A1(M) Junction 3 have now cleared.
