A FAMILY of four were taken to hospital after the car they were travelling in rolled over yesterday afternoon (Sunday).
Ambulance crews were called to the southbound carriageway of the A1(M) between Junction 10 for Stotfold and Junction 9 for Letchworth Gate at around 12.20pm after a vehicle collided with trees and bushes before overturning on the carriageway.
The Essex Air Ambulance was also dispatched to the scene due to reports that the two women and two men inside the black Ford C-Max might be trapped.
All four were taken by land ambulance to Lister Hospital in Stevenage with minor injuries after being assessed and treated at the scene.
The southbound carriageway was shut between the two junctions while the vehicle was recovered but reopened at around 2.30pm.
