THE A1(M) northbound carriageway will be shut tonight (Monday) due to roadworks.
The motorway will be closed from junction 6 for Welwyn and junction 7 for Stevenage from 8pm until 6am tomorrow.
The roadworks are expected to continue until Wednesday, with two further closures each night between 8pm and 6am.
The A505 Baldock Bypass will also be shut during the same period from the first roundabout north of junction 10 for Letchworth Gate to Wallington Road.
Traffic will be diverted through the town centre of Baldock while work is undertaken to prepare, inspect and repair cracks in the Weston Hills tunnel.
