The A1’s southbound carriageway was closed for an hour last night after a lorry broke down.
The heavy goods vehicle broke down near the Sainsbury’s roundabout, with police called at 6.45pm.
The southbound carriageway was closed while the lorry was recovered, and reopened by 7.45pm.
