TWO women have been taken to hospital and a road shut after a crash this morning (Wednesday).
Emergency services were called to Rectory Lane in Stevenage after a car and a van collided at about 9.40am.
A woman driving a red Rover 25 was suffering from hand and chest pains following the crash while a woman travelling in a white Ford Ranger van received neck and back injuries.
Both women have been taken to Lister Hospital in Stevenage for treatment.
The road was blocked as a result of the crash and has shut from the junction with Chestnut Lane up to Weston Road.
