A WOMAN was taken to hospital this morning (Tuesday) after being involved in a car collision.

Police and ambulance crews were scrambled to Wymondley Road, Hitchin, after reports two cars had collided.

It happened at the junction with Hollow Lane just before 7am and a woman was taken to Lister Hospital with minor injuries.

A Vauxhall Meriva and a Volkswagen Passat were the vehicles involved.
