A motorcyclist was hospitalised after falling ill yesterday (Wednesday).

Emergency services were called to the scene on Fairlands Way to reports of a man falling off his motorbike at 4.38pm.

Ambulance officer Gary Sanderson, who attended the scene, said: “The original call stated a man had fallen from a motorbike but on our arrival, this wasn’t the case.

“The man stopped his motorbike when he became unwell. Following assessments and treatment at the roadside, he was taken to the Lister Hospital for further tests.”

No-one was injured as a result of the incident.
