A man in his 30s has been taken to hospital with back and neck pain after a four-vehicle collision this morning.
Two ambulances were called to the scene between junction 9 for Letchworth Gate and Junction 8 for Stevenage southbound after a collision with a lorry.
One person was cut out of a car by the Fire and Rescue Service and a man in his 30s was taken to the Lister Hospital by ambulance.
A spokeswoman for Hertfordshire Constabulary said a silver Vauxhall Corsa, Honda Jazz and a Volkswagen Polo were involved in the accident.
The motorway was shut this morning at 8am causing 15 minute days but reopened around 9.40am.
