The A1(M) was blocked and a man taken to hospital after a three-vehicle crash during the morning rush hour.
Emergency services were called to the southbound carriageway of the motorway near to the Junction 7 entry slip at Stevenage at around 6.35am, after reports of a collision involving a Mercedes Sprinter flatbed van, a Volvo flatbed truck and an Audi A6.
A man in his 50s was taken to Lister Hospital for treatment, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The carriageway was blocked but reopened just after 7am, with recovery arranged for the Mercedes van.
