Great Northern southbound services through Hitchin were hit by delays for about two hours this evening after a passenger was taken ill.
Southbound lines through Hitchin were briefly at a standstill following the incident shortly before 5pm.
Lines re-opened at about 5.15pm, but residual delays continued until 6.45pm.
