There are severe delays on the A1(M) southbound between Baldock Services and Stevenage this morning after a crash between a car and an articulated lorry near Junction 7.
A grey Ford Mondeo collided with a red and white articulated lorry at about 7am this morning, with the crash leaving a vehicle in the fast lane, facing the wrong way.
The other vehicle was already on the hard shoulder when police arrived.
There was a temporary closure while the road was cleared, with the carriageway reopened at 7.25am. No injuries were reported.
There are still long tailbacks between Junction 10 for Baldock Services and Junction 7 for Stevenage, with the disruption also causing queues on surrounding roads such as the A602.
