Emergency services are currently on the scene of a serious car crash in Stevenage this evening where a car left the road and overturned into an underpass.
Officers were called to Martins Way at 8.30pm after reports that a silver Nissan 350Z had left the road, gone down a verge and overturned.
The man driving has been taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge with serious injuries.
The stretch of Martins Way between Ascot Crescent and the roundabout near the Shell petrol garage has been closed by police, as was Sefton Road to allow emergency services to work at the scene.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who saw the car prior to it is asked to contact Sgt Chris Kent via non-emergency number 101.
