Emergency crews rushed to the scene of a crash on the A1(M) near Stevenage yesterday evening, with the road closed for about half an hour.
Police, paramedics and a Stevenage fire crew was mobilised at about 6.15pm last night to the A1(M) southbound between Junctions 8 and 7, after reports of a woman trapped in a vehicle after a two-car crash.
“Fortunately there were no persons trapped and no injuries upon arrival,” Herts Fire Control tweeted an hour later. “Crews made scene safe.”
The road was closed until about 6.45pm. Police said a silver Volkswagen Polo and a silver Ford Fiesta were recovered, and that nobody was injured.
