A man was killed on Saturday when he was struck by a high speed train at a railway station.
The 72-year-old from Welwyn, who has yet to be named, was hit by the 11am Kings Cross to Glasgow service at Knebworth at around 11.20am.
Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
British Transport Police are treating the death as unsuspicious.
The line was reopened just after 1pm.
