A LORRY collided with a car on the A1(M) this afternoon (Tuesday) causing traffic delays.

The crash, involving a white Volvo articulated lorry and a green Land Rover Discovery, occurred between Junction 6 for Welwyn and Junction 7 for Stevenage on the northbound carriageway, at around 3pm.

No injuries have been reported and the vehicles are currently being removed from the scene.

A police spokesman said that “traffic is heavy” but is expected to clear shortly.
