A six-year-old boy was hospitalised this morning (Thursday) after a road traffic collision near a Stevenage school.
The boy was taken to Lister Hospital after he was struck by a blue Saab 93 on Hillmead near St Vincent De Paul School in Stevenage shortly before 8.45am.
A spokesman for the ambulance service said the boy was treated by paramedics and immobilised before being taken to hospital with a suspected leg fracture.
A spokesman for the police, who were at the scene until 11am, said there is no suspicion of any wrongdoing by the driver, who was unharmed in the incident.
