Traffic remains heavy on the A1(M) after a multi-car crash this morning.
The crash – involving up to four cars – took place on the southbound carriageway of the motorway between Junction 7 for Stevenage and Junction 6 for Welwyn at about 10.45am.
A number of people were assessed at the scene before a woman in her 20s was taken to Lister Hospital in Stevenage with what an ambulance spokesman has described as minor injuries.
Firefighters were also called and helped police to clear the road.
Three cars have had to be recovered and there are currently delays of about 20 minutes for motorists heading southbound.
