At the September meeting of Shefford Town Council replacement equipment for the St Michael's play area was agreed. It was reported that the District council has agreed to the request for a dog bin for Lucas Way. Bus Shelters, an order for either new or replacement shelters for various sites has been placed with the County Council. Copies of letters received by the council from residents in Stanford Road regarding sewer problems and their concerns that planned and future development will exacerbate the situation have been passed on to Anglia Water, underlining the fact that that the Town Council had similar concerns. The proposed alterations to the A507 Service Station are causing concern to local residents and objections have gone in to the planning authority. The Town Council agreed to send a letter to Beds County council, in particular regarding highway and pavement maintenance and general performance in Shefford and requesting their comments to this. The next full council meeting is on Friday, October 27.
