IT'S out with the bald, in with the new for Brian Moore and Tracey Parry.

He has resigned his position as Stevenage town centre manager to spend more time with L'Aura Perfumery, the business he owns with his wife Lynn.

"Lynn has been growing the business over recent years but with stores in Stevenage, Hitchin, Letchworth, Newmarket, Cambridge and Kettering, it's now time for me to help out and concentrate full-time on the business," said Brian.

Tracey, who has been the assistant town centre manager for the past three years, has been given the top job.

"I am delighted Tracey has been offered the post of town centre manager - a promotion she richly deserves," said Brian.

"Her commitment, enthusiasm and 'can-do' attitude will serve her well and ensure Stevenage has a top-quality town centre manager during the next few crucial years as the town centre regeneration is developed and implemented."

The Stevenage Town Centre Management Company is dedicated to improving the town centre and Tracey will be working with Stevenage Borough Council, the police and private sector businesses to improve things for shoppers and visitors.

"I'm very much looking forward to taking on the challenging role of Stevenage town centre manager at such an exciting time," she said.

The new assistant manager is Jane Winters who joined the team just before Christmas. She will be helping organise a comprehensive programme of entertainment and events throughout the year.

The third member of the team is Dave Marshall, the town centre warden who has cleared the centre of illegal street traders to help visitors enjoy a more pleasant shopping environment.
