Do you live near one of the most expensive houses in North Hertfordshire? Here are the top 10 most expensive houses sold in 2018.
The Comet looked at all houses sold across the county last year to find the most expensive, with Avenue Farm in Gosmore – a Grade II-listed building set in 20 acres of ground – coming out on top at a whopping £3.15 million.
The Orchard in Willian Road, Hitchin – with its underground garage and outdoor swimming pool – was the second most expensive at £2.7 million, while another of the town’s properties, 22 The Avenue, was third at a price of £2.1 million.
Knebworth Lodge in Old Knebworth was next, selling for £1.88 million, closely followed by the £1.8 million Copford House in Pirton – also with a pool.
Back in Hitchin, Riddy Hey in The Chilterns sold for just shy of £1.7 million, while The Barns at Hoo End Farm in Whitwell went for £1.68 million.
Victorian-style home Pine Lodge in Highbury Road, Hitchin, was next, selling for £1.48 million – while Letchworth’s most expensive home, 9 Sollershott West, sold for £1.45 million.
The top 10 was rounded off by a fifth Hitchin home, 5 Priory Way, which was bought for £1.4 million.
