Three up in court charged with murder of Stevenage’s Mark Altabas

A trio have appeared at St Albans Crown Court charged with the murder of Mark Altabas.

The 47-year-old from Stevenage died in hospital after being stabbed in Angle Ways, Shephall, during the early hours of Thursday, April 21.

Robert Crook, 57, and Katie Holmes, 43, both from Long Leaves in Stevenage, appeared at St Albans Crown Court yesterday, and 18-year-old Destao Pedro, from Walthamstow, appeared via video link. All three are charged with murder.

The trio will reappear at the same court on October 3 when they are expected to enter a plea.

They have been held in custody since their arrest in April.
