Three rescued in Stevenage flat fire

THREE people have been rescued from a burning flat.

A fire broke out in a flat in Beverley Road, Stevenage, on Friday night, with firefighters helping three people out of the building.

A further three people were already out when crews arrived at about 10.40pm, with no one requiring hospital treatment.

The blaze was out by 11pm and a spokesman for the fire service said the cause is believed to be accidental.
