THREE men have been charged in connection with a robbery at a jeweller’s in Stevenage.

Lourdes Gold House in Market Place was robbed in broad daylight on Thursday, June 17.

Londoners Chris Ferguson, 21, of Fieldway Crescent, Highbury, James Hoskins, 21, of Highbury Grove, Holloway, and a 17-year-old from Highbury, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have all been charged with robbery.

The three men appeared before Central Herts Magistrates Court on Friday. The two aged 21 have been remanded in custody for a week and the 17-year-old has been granted conditional bail.

Stevenage Chief Inspector Richard Liversidge said: “This type of offence is very rare in Stevenage. The investigation team has worked quickly and robustly to make these arrests.”
