THOUSANDS of pounds worth of electrical equipment and jewellery have been stolen while a family slept.

The incident happened at a property in Stotfold Road, Arlesey on Saturday (September 22) sometime between midnight and 8.30am.

The offenders gained access to the property via a rear window and were able to search the kitchen and lounge area without disturbing the family.

They escaped with a number of items including: three iPads, two iPhones, a white gold wedding band, a solitaire engagement ring, a diamond eternity ring, various other necklaces and pendants and several rings.

DC Mandy Durrant, said: “The family have been left devastated by this burglary and really do feel violated in their own home by the actions of the offenders.

“We would really like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the burglary or anyone else who may have information however small or insignificant they think it is that could help us.

“Please don’t dismiss your information as unimportant – even tiny details which don’t seem relevant now might become useful later on in the investigation.”
