On Sunday promises something of interest to everyone. Among the twelve gardens to visit there are four new ones with of course eight old favourites as well! A special this year is that Peter Lake will be in attendance at the allotments off Walnut Tree Lane to answer questions about growing vegetables. In spite of a very late spring the gardens are lovely and to get round a good number you need to get off the mark soon after they open at 2pm; they close at 6pm. In wandering round the pretty village do pop in to St Mary's Church to enjoy a spot of peaceful music, together with displays of flower arrangements and the beautiful St Mary's kneelers. There are plants for sale, a tombola stall, refreshments, plus a pleasant rest, at Hammonds Farm and Royal Oak Lane, a lovely afternoon for just £3 per adult, contact 712343.
