On the restoration of the entrance to Stagenhoe Park . The ill-fated gateway has been the subject of many encounters with vehicles that have either ignored the height restriction displayed or whose drivers have been optimistic about their height. This time the Honeywaggon can claim responsibility. The pillars have had to be partially rebuilt and the iron archway has been away for repair as have the stags. Hopefully the job will be finished in the next couple of weeks and the entrance will have been returned to its former glory. Those who use it will be relieved when the scaffolding comes down as it obscured ones vision still further.
