Thieves used bolt cutters to steal a padlocked motorbike in Hitchin overnight on Tuesday – with police today launching an appeal for witnesses.

Sometime between 10pm on Tuesday and 7am yesterday thieves took the black motorbike – which had been padlocked to an immovable object in Redoubt Close – and left in an unknown direction.

Anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting reference G1/18/1379.
