A large amount of cash – as well as gold jewellery – have been stolen after a safe was broken into at a home in Meppershall.
Police have launched an appeal this morning following the break-in at a property in Shefford Road at some point between 1pm on Friday and 8am on Tuesday.
A large quantity of money was stolen from the safe, as well as a gold watch and a gold-coloured necklace which had a medical pendant attached to it.
PC Lisa Lee, who is investigating, said: “I’d like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or who may have come into contact with the stolen items.
“The necklace in particular is quite distinctive as it has an engraved medical pendant attached to it.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Lee on 101, text 07786 200 011, or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
