Thieves used a rock to smash their way into a florist to steal a charity box.

The incident happened at Aspidistra on Station Road, Letchworth GC between 5.15pm on Friday and 6.40am on Saturday.

Police believe that the offenders smashed their way through the front of the shop using a rock and then stole the charity box, which contained an unknown amount of money.

Nothing else was taken and as yet no arrests have been made.
