There will be all sorts of family fun and games on offer in Hitchin’s Market Place tomorrow.

Churches Together in Hitchin is organising its fifth annual Party in the Square community day showcasing some of the work that the congregations in the town are doing.

The town centre event will run from 11.30am to 3.30pm, and begin with a service which will include music, prayers, readings and an address by St Mark’s Church curate the Rev Jeni McQuaid.

Also on the timetable are a barbecue, inflatables, a zumba session, a children’s craft stall, sideshow games, a football cage, live music and information stalls.

Churches Together In Hitchin secretary John Richardson said: “Everything is entirely free and all are welcome. Just turn up and enjoy it! “We hope to see a great number of people joining in – whoever you are, whether or not you are linked with a church, you will be welcome.”
