Steve Whittacker, the contract services manager of Mid Beds District Council spoke to the ladies about recycling last Thursday at Scyttels Court and told them that in Mid Beds 28 per cent is recycled, the average for the country is 18 per cent. The ladies were advised that the green bins which contain recycled items are being inspected because if they contain contaminated items they will not be collected. Each member received a list of what to put in the recycle bins and what not to. The tea hostesses were Joyce, Christine, Doreen and Val.
