Has come to the end of its first two years at the end of term and is sadly having to say goodbye to four people who have been involved in making it so successful. Kate Henley has been the chair and has very competently led a band of dedicated people to make the Pre-school into a unique learning environment within our village. Anne Knapp has been the manager and created a caring and stimulating environment, which has made the school what it is. I have been impressed by the quiet purposeful way that quite small children settle down to the routine that has been established. Mary Newstead for decades and has finally decided to retire. She will be greatly missed. Finally, Tracey Papworth the school's administrator whose dedication has kept it running smoothly, Sarah Ritchie will take her place next term. There are still places available for September so if you have a 2 - 4 year old and are looking for a busy happy pre-school experience phone Sarah on 01438 871787.

There's still time to book your tickets: For the Musical Evening at St. Paul's Walden Bury on Sunday. The gardens will be open from 5.30pm.and the String Quartet will start at 7pm. There will be a buffet supper served at approximately 8.30pm. Tickets are available from the post office and are strictly limited to 60 so do not delay, proceeds to the refurbishment of the village Hall.
