Holds their AGM on Wednesday, May 3 at the Memorial Hall, starting at 7.30pm all welcome. Come along and see what goes at the hall!

Annual Town Meeting: This took place on Friday evening, chaired by Town Mayor Paul Mackin who thanked councillors for their support over the past year before reporting on what has been a busy year. Vehicle activated signs have been bought and should be working in the next few weeks. More signs will be purchased for other suitable locations when funding sources can be found. The public toilets have been taken over by the Town Council. Road and path maintenance is still a continuing battle but the County Council appointed a new contractor recently and their stated aim is to maintain the roads and footpaths in the county to above average by 2008. Mr Mackin stated that time will tell. The Town Council had been investigating the options open to pay for additional policing hours. The Council hosted several meetings with surrounding Town and Parish Councils to look at the possibility of funding more PCSO's. This will be reviewed once changes within the Police Service have settled down and local levels of policing reviewed. The Town Council is about to take over the ownership of the Churchill Way and Kingfisher Road play areas.
