ONE of the biggest events in Comet Country is on this weekend.
The annual Stevenage Town Show, formerly known as Stevenage Day, is being held on Sunday at King George V Playing Fields on Sish Lane.
As a prelude, the Prince and Princess competition will take place and the newly crowned couple will open the event at 1pm.
Many acts have been lined up to entertain the thousands of people expected to attend.
They include the Ambassadors of Borrowash Marching Band, an H&M Dog Display Team and the main event of the day, the Mega Minis stunt show in which little cars are guaranteed to entertain in a big way.
Children's art will also be displayed, along with free play areas for toddlers and younger members of the family.

For future World Cup stars, there is a children's five-a-side football tournament.
There'll be rides for all the family, exciting activities for children, and stalls selling their wares will be open to the public until around 5pm.
Well over 100 organisations will have stalls to help get across their message and raise much needed funds.
