Of the Leprosy Missions Spring Quiz has come to an end, based on 125 advertising slogans and jingles the competition was devised by Karen Watson. 129 budding quiz competitors entered and Karen had great fun in marking them. First past the post with only one wrong was Jane and Grenville Foster from Eaton Ford, six others - Ann Reid, Eileen Morley, Dorothy Lee, Julie Langton, Sarah Hillman and Susan and David Sutton all achieved 100 or more correct answers. Thanks to all who took part, £111 was raised for the Mission. This Sunday also sees Colin in action for only his second Sandy Ten Run. Following his success in 2004, he is again attempting this tough course and all to raise money for those who suffer from leprosy, ring Colin on 01767 682032 to sponsor him. The Leprosy Mission and The Children's Society join forces on Saturday when they will be holding a Jumble Sale in St Swithun's Churchyard (Rectory Room if wet) from 9.30am, entry is 20p so come and have a browse or call in for a cuppa.
