Herd will be wending its way to the market in Taunton to be sold next week. The milking herd has had to go because dairying just is not a viable proposition in the current agricultural climate. A suckler herd will replace it. It will be sad to see yet another herd go and I for one shall miss seeing the cows turned out next month.
