Is set to continue in Stevenage on Saturday, when trade justice campaigners will march from the old to the new towns with local MP Barbara Follett as part of a nationwide world record attempt to have the largest simultaneous drumming event in the UK. The event is part of Christian Aid's The Beat Goes On campaign, which is calling for the UK government to cut funding to two international organisations, the World Bank and International Monetary Fund until they reform. Help to make a difference by turning up at the Granby car park on Saturday at 11.30am for a practice. It is a simple Senegalese rhythm, just join in. Bring yourself something to drum on - buckets, dustbins, saucepans, tin cans, yogurt pots and sticks - wooden spoons, knitting needles, cutlery, lolly pops etc!
