MORE than 200 performers are currently putting the finishing touches to the Biggleswade Gang Show.

The show, involving members of the scouting and guiding movements in Biggleswade, will take place at Holmemead Middle School on Saturday, March 24.

It will kick off a series of events in the town to celebrate the centenary of scouting, including a St George's Day parade, a parish church country fair dedicated to the theme of scouting and a group four-day camping expedition.

Nick Gurney, co producer of the show, said: "Preparations are going very well.

"All the practices have been at Holmemead School this year so the show should be even better than it was in 2005."

There will be two performances of the show, at 2pm and 6.30pm.

Tickets cost £4 for adults and £3 for concessions and children, and are available from Bookworms in Market Square.
